Jyoti group of Hotels begins the journey of hospitality as a small unit by the visionary, Raj Panda Late Gopabandhu Mahapatra in the pre independence era (Janmastami, 1936) to provide shelter to the pilgrims. The enthusiasm of traditional hospitality is still continuing under the able guidance of Raj Panda Dr. Laxminarayan Mahapatra. At present we have four luxurious hotels under our group with different proprietorships at prime locations in the city. While Hotel Dharmajyoti & Hotel Jyoti are on the Grand Road, Puri, Hotel Laxmijyoti & Hotel Shyamajyoti mark their presence on Puri Sea beach front.

Puri, popularly known as Jagannath Dham, is one of the four religious Dhams of the Hindus. Since ancient times, Puri has been the symbol of pride for Odisha’s rich tradition, culture, faith and belief. The cultural heritage of the city centers round Lord Jagannath. Historically, the present day monument was originally built by King Chodaganga Dev in between 1112 – 1148 A. D. on a perfect Pancharatha plan. The temple stands tall (with a height of 214ft 8inches) amongst all the existing temples of Odisha. With the presence of the Golden Triangle (i.e. Jagannath Puri, Sun temple of Konark – Black Pagoda and the Temple city of Bhubaneswar), beautiful enchanting sea beaches & the world famous Car Festival of Lord Jagannath, Puri has secured its place in the World Tourism map and continues to attract tourists from all over the world.
